ID: FBbt_20001821
Adult descending neuron of the anterior ventral brain of the DNbe004 group (Berg et al., 2025. It receives input in the ipsilateral gorget, vest, posterior lateral protocerebrum, inferior clamp, wedge, superior posterior slope, inferior posterior slope, wing neuropil and neck neuropil, the contralateral posterior lateral protocerebrum, superior posterior slope, wing neuropil and neck neuropil, and the cervical connective, gnathal ganglion, inferior bridge, lower tectulum, intermediate tectulum and abdominal neuromere (Berg et al., 2025. It sends output to the ipsilateral superior posterior slope, inferior posterior slope, wing neuropil, T1 leg neuropil, T3 leg neuropil and neck neuropil, the contralateral inferior posterior slope, wing neuropil, T1 leg neuropil and neck neuropil, and the gnathal ganglion, lower tectulum, intermediate tectulum and abdominal neuromere (Berg et al., 2025. Its predicted neurotransmitter is glutamate (Eckstein et al., 2024; Berg et al., 2025. (Dorkenwald et al., 2024, Eckstein et al., 2024)
Cell type identified in multiple EM datasets (Scheffer et al., 2020; Schlegel et al., 2024; Dorkenwald et al., 2024; Marin et al., 2024; Berg et al., 2025. Synapse locations are given where each cell of this type in neuprint has at least 10 connections.
