Descending neuron belonging to the DNb group, having a cell body on the anterior ventral surface of the brain (Cheong et al., 2024). It has similar morphology to DNb01 (Cheong et al., 2024). It is glutamatergic (Cheong et al., 2024).
Cheong et al. (2024) note that a driver (SS02542) targeting DNb09 was annotated as DNb01 in Namiki et al. (2018) - FBrf0239335.
