DNae009 [FBbt_20001764]

Adult descending neuron of the anterior dorsal brain of the DNae009 group (Berg et al., 2025. It belongs to the WEDd1 hemilineage (Berg et al., 2025. It receives input in the ipsilateral antennal mechanosensory and motor center, superior medial protocerebrum, gorget, vest, posterior lateral protocerebrum, inferior clamp, wedge, antler, superior posterior slope, inferior posterior slope, cantle and wing neuropil, the contralateral posterior lateral protocerebrum, antler, superior posterior slope and wing neuropil, and the cervical connective, gnathal ganglion, inferior bridge, lower tectulum and intermediate tectulum (Berg et al., 2025. It sends output to the ipsilateral antennal mechanosensory and motor center, superior posterior slope, inferior posterior slope, cantle, wing neuropil, haltere neuropil and neck neuropil, the contralateral superior posterior slope, inferior posterior slope, wing neuropil and neck neuropil, and the gnathal ganglion, inferior bridge, lower tectulum, intermediate tectulum and abdominal neuromere (Berg et al., 2025. Its predicted neurotransmitter is acetylcholine (Eckstein et al., 2024; Berg et al., 2025. (Eckstein et al., 2024, Dorkenwald et al., 2024)

Cell type identified in multiple EM datasets (Scheffer et al., 2020; Schlegel et al., 2024; Dorkenwald et al., 2024; Marin et al., 2024; Berg et al., 2025. Synapse locations are given where each cell of this type in neuprint has at least 10 connections. Hemilineage information from neuprint, though original source not clear.
