DN1pD [FBbt_00053348]

Adult DN1p neuron that has dense pre- and post-synapses in the ipsilateral superior medial protocerebrum (SMP) (Reinhard et al., 2024). There are four of these cells per hemisphere, with two remaining ipsilateral and two crossing into the contralateral SMP (Reinhard et al., 2024). Both subtypes belong to the SMPpd2 hemilineage (Dorkenwald et al., 2024; Schlegel et al., 2024).
