Adult uniglomerular antennal lobe projection neuron from the dorsal hemilineage of the lateral neuroblast (ALl1) whose dendrites mainly innervate antennal lobe glomerulus DA1 (Bates et al., 2020). It innervates the mushroom body calyx and a small area at the anterior edge of the lateral horn (Marin et al., 2002). It is a fruitless aDT-e neuron (Cachero et al., 2010; Ito et al., 2013). There are around eight of these per hemisphere, they fasciculate with the medial antennal lobe tract and they are cholinergic (Bates et al., 2020).

This is a subtype of the fruitless aDT-e neuron, whose lineage is ALl1 (lPN) according to Ito et al. (2013) and is stated to include DA1 PNs in Cachero et al. (2010), but consists of approximately 29 neurons.
