DN3 neuron that projects to the anterior brain, remaining ipsilateral (Sun et al., 2022; Reinhard et al., 2024). There are approximately 6 of these neurons per hemisphere, with larger somas than the s-CPDN3 neurons (Reinhard et al., 2024). They express allatostatin C (AstC) (Sun et al., 2022).
