Serotonergic LP neuron whose cell body is located in the optic peduncle, adjacent to the medulla layer. These cells are born during metamorphosis. There are approximately nine neurons in this cluster. (Valles and White, 1988, Giang et al., 2011)
Valles and White, 1988 split this cluster into LP2a and LP2b, but do not define these subgroups.
