There are usually 2 or 3 of these cells per hemisphere and they also express the male isoform of fruitless (Lee et al., 2006. It expresses timeless and belongs to the LNd clock neurons (Lee et al., 2006. It also expresses Dh44 (Reinhard et al., 2024. (Lee et al., 2006, Reinhard et al., 2024)
