Adult female fruitless neuron that develops from neuroblast DM2 (Ren et al., 2016 and has its cell body in the posterior medial protocerebrum (Cachero et al., 2010. (Cachero et al., 2010, Yu et al., 2013, Ito et al., 2013, Yu et al., 2010, Ren et al., 2016)
Ren et al., 2016 find only 9 pMP-b cells per hemisphere in the DM2 lineage, whereas Cachero et al., 2010 report 22 female pMP-b cells. Cachero et al., 2010 unclear whether this or pMP-a maps to Yu et al., 2010 pMP5 - images look like pMP5 is pMP-b.
