Any adult neuron (FBbt:00047095) that expresses Crz (FBgn0013767). (Scheffer et al., 2020, Miyamoto and Amrein, 2014)
Miyamoto and Amrein, 2014 identify 2-4 Gr43a/Gr64a cells plus 4-6 other corazonin cells per hemisphere in the brain. McKim et al. (2024) find that only 3 non-Gr43a/Gr64a cells per brain hemisphere project via the NCC, therefore do not expect the others to be secretory. All efferent CRZ neurons in the brain might be pars lateralis based on McKim et al. (2024).
