Adult leg muscle that originates at the distal end of the coxa, on the opposite surface to the trochanter levator muscle, and attaches to the trochanter, in a similar position to the trochanter levator tendon (Soler et al., 2004; Azevedo et al., 2024). It flexes the coxa-trochanter joint (Azevedo et al., 2024). It is composed of 3 fibers (Soler et al., 2004).
